Product Design Services in the USA

That Start With the Problem, Not the Pixels

Good design isn’t about how a product looks. It’s about how well it works for the people who use it and the business that depends on it. We design digital products where both of those things are true simultaneously.

Design That Earns Its Place in the Engineering Process

There’s a version of product design that exists mostly to make things look polished before they’re handed to developers. That’s not what we do. At GreyScript, design is part of how we think through a product; it surfaces untested assumptions, reveals gaps in the user journey before they become expensive engineering decisions, and creates the shared clarity that makes development faster and more focused.

When companies come to us for product design services in the USA, they’re usually not looking for a mood board. They’re looking for someone to help them figure out what to build, who it’s really for, and what it needs to do to work. We treat those as design questions. The visual output is what happens after the harder thinking is done.

The Full Scope of What We Design

Design touches every layer of a product, from the first question about what users actually need to the final specification a developer uses to build an interaction. Our practice covers all of it.

Product Strategy & UX Research

We start by understanding your users, your market, and the specific job your product needs to do. This means researching assumptions through interviews, usage analysis, and competitive review, so design decisions have a real foundation.

Information Architecture

Before anything is made visual, we structure it so that how content is organised, how users move through the product, and where decisions are made determine whether a product feels intuitive or confusing, regardless of how it looks.

Visual & Interaction Design

This is where structure becomes something users actually experience. Every visual decision, layout, typography, colour, component behaviour, is made in the context of the user's goals and the business outcome the screen needs to support.

Design Systems

A well-built design system is what makes a product consistent at scale. We build component libraries and documentation that allow design and engineering to move faster together, without the drift that accumulates when every screen is designed in isolation.

Usability Testing & Iteration

Designs get tested with real users before they go to development. We identify friction points, misread labels, confusing flows, and incorrect assumptions, then resolve them at the design stage, where the cost is time, not engineering rework.

UI/UX Design Services

UX design is the work that happens before a screen looks like anything. It’s the mapping of how users move through a product, the decisions about what information appears where and when, and the validation of whether the flows you’ve designed match how users actually think. Getting this right reduces the risk that a product is beautifully built but practically confusing, which happens more often than most teams expect.

Our UX process runs from discovery through to handoff. We conduct user research to understand behaviour, motivations, and friction points. We build information architecture that reflects how your users think, not how your internal teams are organised. We create wireframes that can be tested and challenged before any pixel of visual design is committed. And we prototype at a level of fidelity that gives stakeholders and users something real enough to react to, so feedback is grounded in experience rather than imagination.

Mobile App UI Design

Designing for mobile is a different discipline from designing for desktop, not a simpler one. Screen space is constrained. Touch interactions have their own conventions and failure modes. Users are often distracted, moving, or working with one hand. And the platform expectations on iOS and Android differ in ways that matter to users, even if they can’t articulate why.

We design mobile interfaces that account for all of this. For native iOS and Android applications, we follow platform-specific human interface and material design guidelines where they serve the user, and depart from them deliberately when the product requires it. For cross-platform products built with Flutter or React Native, we design experiences that feel native on both platforms from a single design system, without the visual compromises that often come with that approach. Every mobile design decision is made with the understanding that interface quality directly affects whether users return to the product or abandon it.

How a Design Engagement Actually Works

Design without structure produces outputs that look finished but haven’t been validated. Every engagement follows a process that keeps thinking ahead of execution.

Research & Discovery
We learn about your users, your business context, and the specific problem the product needs to solve. This isn't a formality; it's what gives every subsequent design decision a reason to exist.
Information Architecture
We define the product's structural logic before it becomes visual. How is content organised? How do users navigate? What decisions does each screen need to support? These questions get answered here.
Wireframing & Prototyping
Low- and mid-fidelity wireframes give the structure a testable form. Interactive prototypes let real users interact with the product before any development begins. Issues found here cost hours to fix. Issues were found after development cost weeks.
Visual Design
With a validated structure in place, visual design brings the product to life, applying the brand, building the component library, and designing every state, interaction, and edge case the development team will need to build from.
Handoff & Design QA
Design handoff is documented, annotated, and structured for developers, not left to interpretation. After development, we review implementation against design specifications to close the gap between what was designed and what was built.

Design in Practice

The most useful thing we can show you is work that was actually hard. These are a few of the products we’ve built across fintech, healthcare, and consumer platforms, each one with its own set of technical constraints, timeline pressures, and performance requirements.

Software that is aligned with Global Standards and Compliance

We build enterprise software with security, privacy, and governance built into the foundation, not added later.

Frequently Asked Questions

The deliverables vary by engagement, but typically include UX research findings, user journey maps, wireframes, interactive prototypes, high-fidelity visual designs, a component library or design system, and a developer-ready handoff package. What matters more than the list of outputs is that every deliverable is connected to a real decision about how the product should work and why.

UX design is involved with how a product works, its flows, logic, information structure, and whether users can accomplish their goals without confusion. UI design is involved with how a product looks and feels, the visual layer that users actually see and interact with. In practice, the two are deeply connected. A beautiful interface built on a confusing flow still produces a poor user experience. We work across both because separating them produces worse outcomes.

Yes. We design for iOS, Android, cross-platform mobile, web applications, and responsive web experiences. Each context has its own design considerations, and we treat them as distinct disciplines rather than applying the same approach across all of them.

Yes. We work with companies that have internal engineering teams but need design strategy, UX research, wireframing, visual design, or a complete design system. We can scope a design-only engagement and deliver assets your team can build directly from.

Through user testing on prototypes. We build interactive prototypes with a level of fidelity that lets real users navigate the product as if it were live. We observe where they succeed, where they hesitate, and where they fail, then use those findings to refine the design before engineering begins. This is the step that most consistently prevents expensive rework during development.

We deliver annotated design files through Figma, with component documentation, spacing specifications, interaction notes, and state definitions for every screen. We also review the implemented product against the design after development to catch interpretation gaps before launch. Handoff isn’t the end of our involvement; it’s a transition point.

We’ve worked with several agencies, but GreyScript is the first that actually treats UX as a business driver rather than just an aesthetic choice. They didn't just hand over a 'clean' interface; they built a user journey rooted in how our customers actually behave. Seeing a jump in engagement within a month of the rollout proved that their design strategy is as functional as it is polished.

In enterprise software, a missed deadline is a massive financial liability. What stood out about GreyScript was their transparency throughout the build. They managed the sprints with total predictability, delivering a complex, multi-platform solution exactly when they said they would. It’s rare to find a team that hits a launch date without compromising the code quality in the final week.

GreyScript has a way of making high-stakes development feel incredibly manageable. We brought them a set of complex integration challenges that had stalled our progress for months, and they dismantled those roadblocks within weeks. They have a rare ability to take a messy, complicated problem and return a clean, elegant solution without any hand-holding from our side. It is the most frictionless experience I’ve had with an external team

Working with GreyScript feels like having an elite in-house team. Their communication is effortless, they bridge the gap between technical complexity and executive-level strategy without any gaps in information. We always knew exactly where the project stood, which made the entire process remarkably stress-free
